Software Developer II
Aug 2025 — PresentBuild and maintain the 5G Policy Charging Function platform serving Verizon.
- Own pre-development workflows for the team — manage 3 weekly nightly builds and resolve merge failures to keep feature integration smooth across the platform.
- Standardized logging across 12 microservices, normalizing levels and improving call-flow traceability so on-call resolves 5G incidents faster.
- Led a cross-service feature exposing advanced Kubernetes rollout configuration across all 12 microservices, improving deployment control and system resilience.
Software Engineer Intern
Aug 2024 — Jun 2025Joined the 5G Cloud Native Communications team pre-graduation.
- Led a core-library migration across the 5G Cloud Native Communications platform, lifting system performance by 60% and keeping full compatibility across dependent services.
- Shipped features and fixes in Java across Kubernetes-managed microservices while keeping code reliability high.
- Analyzed system metrics to pinpoint bottlenecks — the findings informed the architectural changes behind the 60% post-migration gain.
CEMEX
Built an internal quality-test request platform for a 25-person team.
- Built a web platform in .NET, SQL Server, and React for managing quality-test requests, replacing ad-hoc workflows for a 25-member internal team.
- Designed the UI in React + Tailwind CSS; backend powered by FastAPI for improved performance.
- Integrated Azure AD authentication; deployed and managed versioning via Docker and Bitbucket.
Selected work
A WhatsApp-first appointment booking platform. Customers book, confirm, reschedule, and pay deposits entirely through chat. Conversation state runs on XState, AI turns route between Claude Haiku and Sonnet based on intent confidence, and bookings sync transactionally with Google Calendar against a multi-tenant Supabase backend.
Who I am, briefly
I'm a software developer at Oracle, building the cloud-native platform that powers Verizon's 5G network.
I care about systems that stay quiet — code that's reliable, observable, and easy to change. Most of my day is spent in Java, Kubernetes, and the messy seams between microservices.
Outside work I ship side projects, organize student tech events, and over-engineer personal tooling.
